Ludhiana, April 18, 2026: In a major push to provide universal cashless healthcare to every resident of Ludhiana, the district administration set to organize extensive enrollment camps across the district under the Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojana (MMSY).
The Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojana, launched by the Punjab Government on January 22 this year, is a pioneering and first-of-its-kind universal health assurance scheme in India. It offers cashless medical treatment up to Rs 10 lakh per family per year to every Punjabi family, with no income limit or exclusion criteria.
The district-level campaign aims to ensure that every family in Ludhiana is enrolled under this transformative scheme so that no resident faces catastrophic out-of-pocket medical expenses during health emergencies.
Key Features of Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojana (MMSY):
*Coverage* --Up to Rs 10 lakh per family per year for cashless treatment  
*Cashless & Paperless*: Treatment without any upfront payment at over 800 empanelled hospitals, including government, private, and specialized centres in Punjab and select out-of-state facilities  
*Comprehensive Benefits*- More than 2,500 medical procedures and packages covering major/minor surgeries, critical illnesses (cancer, cardiology, neurology, dialysis, orthopaedics, etc.), ICU care, diagnostics, medicines, daycare procedures, 3 days pre-hospitalization and 15 days post-hospitalization expenses including follow-up medicines  
*Universal Eligibility*: Open to all bona fide residents of Punjab, verified through Aadhaar card and Voter ID (or guardian’s documents for minors). Covers government employees, pensioners, contractual staff, farmers, labourers and all sections of society  
*Sehat Card-Aadhaar-linked for seamless and hassle-free access  
Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Jain directed officials to make the enrollment drive a top priority. Special massive enrollment camps will be organized at various locations across Ludhiana in the coming days to facilitate on-the-spot registrations. He added that residents can register instantly at any Common Service Centre (CSC) or designated enrollment camp by providing just their Aadhaar card and Voter ID. No prior appointment or intermediaries are required. 
Jain also urged the residents to visit the nearest enrollment camp or CSC with their Aadhaar and other documents to get their Sehat Card and avail the benefits of this revolutionary health scheme.
