District Administration, Rohtak Rolls Out Full-Scale “Swasthya Vahini” - Districtwide Mobile Initiative for NCD Screening, Oral & Breast Cancer Detection, and Doorstep Preventive Healthcare.

Rohtak, November 13, 2025: The District Administration, Rohtak has launched “Swasthya Vahini”, an intensive district-wide mobile healthcare initiative aimed at comprehensive screening of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) and strengthening women’s health, with special emphasis on breast cancer awareness and early detection. Initially introduced during the night halt at Ismaila village, the initiative has now begun full-scale operations across rural and peri-urban areas, ensuring that vital health services reach every household.

Swasthya Vahini adopts a structured “One Village – One Day” model through which a dedicated medical team visits each village and conducts complete NCD and women’s health screening at every camp. These services include:
• Blood Pressure screening for Hypertension
• Blood Sugar testing for Diabetes
• Oral Cancer screening
• Breast Cancer physical examination
• Mammography for symptomatic and high-risk women
• HB (Hemoglobin) testing for anemia
• Comprehensive Nirogi screening
• Creation of ABHA IDs for all beneficiaries to ensure digital health records and continuity of care

This integrated set of services ensures that every citizen receives a well-rounded preventive health assessment during the same camp, without needing multiple visits.

Three-Phase Continuum of Care

To ensure early detection and timely medical follow-up, the campaign follows a three-phase model:
• Phase I: Physical examinations, NCD screening, oral and breast cancer checks, and awareness sessions led by trained female doctors, ANMs, and health workers.
• Phase II: Diagnostic procedures, including mammography and further investigations for symptomatic women, conducted through mobile diagnostic units or designated district health centres.
• Phase III: Referral and treatment coordination with PGIMS Rohtak, AIIMS Jhajjar, and Government Medical Institutions of Haryana. The District Administration ensures that each identified case receives structured follow-up until treatment is initiated.

Broad Priority Coverage

The first phase of Swasthya Vahini is prioritizing:
• Female teachers
• Female government officers and health staff
• Female police officials
• Families of elected representatives
• All women aged 35 years and above
• All citizens of the villages scheduled for screening

This ensures both targeted attention to high-risk groups and universal health coverage for the entire community.

Operational Schedule and District Targets

The medical camps have begun operations as per the district plan:
• 14–15 November: Screening in Kharawar
• 17–20 November: Villages under Sampla PHC
• 21–22 November: Hassangarh cluster

The District Administration has set the goal of completing the entire Sampla Sub-Division by 15th December, ensuring structured, uninterrupted outreach village by village.

The Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta said that Swasthya Vahini represents a shift from reactive treatment to proactive community-level prevention.

“This initiative brings comprehensive NCD screening, early cancer detection and essential health awareness directly to the doorstep of every citizen. Early diagnosis saves lives, and Swasthya Vahini ensures that no woman and no household is left behind, ” he added.

The night halt launch at Ismaila witnessed enthusiastic participation from women, teachers, frontline workers, and community representatives, reflecting strong public support.

The initiative is being implemented in collaboration with the Dr. Anita Narula Charitable Foundation and LPS Bossard, strengthening a public–private partnership model for community health.
