Distribution of Bicycles at PU

Chandigarh, June 12, 2019: Prof.Karamjeet Singh, Registrar, Panjab University, Chandigarh in the presence of Dr.Parminder Singh, Controller of Examination, Sh.Vikram Nayyar, Finance & Development Officer, Dr.Munishwar Joshi, Secretary to Vice Chancellor and PU officials distributed 91 Bicycles here today which are part of the 277 Bicycles procured recently under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of Stock Holding Corporation of India. The Registrar expressed his happiness over the initiative and informed that in order to promote austerity, cost cutting and to boost eco-friendly environment of the campus, the bicycles are to be distributed to all the Departments of Panjab University which includes 2 each to VC Office and DUI office; 5 to Chief of University Security Office; 7 each to all the hostels; 1 each to the departments and 10 Bicycles have been reserved for need-based use in the campus. He further informed that rest of the Cycles will be issued in the coming days. The Bicycles are in yellow colour with name and logo of Panjab University written on it. The locks are also provided with the same.
