Discussions on Expansion, Networking, and Enhanced Outreach at MDU Alumni Association's AGM

Rohtak, May 27, 2026: Marking a significant initiative aimed at forging stronger ties between the university and its former students, the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the MDU Alumni Association was held under the chairmanship of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Milap Punia. The meeting featured extensive discussions on strengthening the Alumni Association, expanding networking opportunities, and infusing fresh momentum into alumni engagement.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Milap Punia stated that the true strength of any university lies in its students and alumni. He noted that MDU alumni are bringing glory to the university by achieving remarkable milestones in various fields, both within the country and abroad; therefore, integrating their experiences, guidance, and support into the university's progress is the need of the hour.
He emphasized the importance of further empowering the Alumni Association, augmenting its corpus fund, conducting alumni elections, strengthening networking and outreach activities, and regularly organizing alumni-centric programs.
The meeting also addressed how establishing better coordination between the university and its alumni could benefit current students through career guidance, internships, placements, and innovation-related activities. A consensus was reached on strengthening the alumni network to ensure greater participation in the university's developmental initiatives.
Dean of Academic Affairs Prof. A.S. Mann and Registrar Prof. Sandeep Bansal also shared their views during the meeting, advocating for measures to make the Alumni Association even more robust and active.
