Chandigarh, March 5, 2026: PU-ISSER today organised a discussion on Gender Equality in celebration of the upcoming International Women’s Day by Dr Reena Rani Chaudhary, Assistant Professor, Centre for Distance and Online Education, Panjab University, Chandigarh.
Prof. Anju Suri, Coordinator, PU-ISSER, welcomed the guest and spoke about the theme. Nearly fifty undergraduate and postgraduate students attended the lecture.
The lecture emphasised how gender is something that we create, experience and live. Various examples were discussed across issues such as STEM, safety concerns, sanitation access, the MeToo movement, etc. The difference between progress and equality was highlighted through various case studies and examples.
The lecture was followed by an interactive session with students.
