DIPS Schools celebrate Nelson Mandela Day

Jalandhar: Chain of DIPS schools remembered Nelson Mandela and celebrated Nelson Mandela day. On this occasion speeches, posters making, poem recitation, power point presentation were organised enthusiastically in all school. This day is an opportunity for everyone to renew their commitment to the value that inspired Mandela. Nelson Mandela greatly inspired the people of South Africa and he believed that each individual has the power to transform the word, the ability to make an impact. Nelson was a follower of Mahatma Gandhi.

Nelson Mandela was conferred Nobel Peace Award. Students made inspiring posters and emphasised on Nelson as a leader of social justice and a staunch advocate for democracy and gave an awakening on human rights. during this occasion teacher showed various videos to depict the life of Nelson Mandela and how he opposed the racist system of apartheid in South Africa and dedicated his life to establishing social equality for all .

MD Tarwinder Singh said efforts of students and viewed this day as an opportunity to renew the values left behind by Nelson Mandela and get inspired by his teachings. He also remarked that education is a weapon by which one can transform the world. Therefore aim to acquire the best quality education. 

CEO Monica Mandotra opined that Nelson Mandela believed that nothing is impossible one must keep on trying and achieve success. She added that the day was an opportunity to reflect on the life and legacy of a legendary global advocate for dignity, equality, justice and human rights.
