Digital Innovation for Gender Equality Seminar held in Doaba College

Jalandhar, March 9., 2023: Cell for Women Development and Prevention of Sexual Harassment, Doaba College organized seminar on the theme by United Nation's entitled “Digital Innovation for Gender Equality”. The purpose of celebrating the day was to sensitize students about “Innovation and technological change, and education in the digital age for achieving gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls”. Principal Dr. Pardeep Bhandari grace the occasion as Chief Guest. He was accorded a hearty welcome by Prof. Ira Sharma- Coordinator, Staff and Students.

Principal Dr. Pardeep Bhandari urged the female students to explore the gender-responsive approach to innovation, technology and digital education that can increase the awareness regarding their rights and civic engagement. In his address, Dr. Pradeep Bhandari encouraged students especially girls to be on front foot in every field. He also emphasized that all actions should be knowledge and logic oriented.

Students- Amisha, Ishita, Evengeline, Rajni, Yuvraj Singh showcased their talent in the form of poetry, singing and speech. Megha shared factual information in the form of a presentation on “Women's current scenario across the globe. The function was proceeded by melodious song by Arti and energetic dance performance by Tina and team. Event was anchored by Meetali and Vidhi.  Prof. Ira Sharma presented vote of thanks.
