Dheeraj Dhooper and Himansh Kolhiare popular Indian television actors hailing from Delhi. While their work has had them move around a lot, they admitted that they miss Delhi a lot.

In conversation with Dheeraj about Delhi Times #FlirtWithYourCity campaign, he shared that he feels blessed that he belongs to Delhi. He majorly misses the food, the shopping and the fashion of Delhi. “I’m a believer of brands but I also completely enjoy street shopping. GK2 MBlock is my all time favourite.”

Delhi according to him holds a very special place in fashion. “I highly recommend visiting Lajpat Nagar, Janpath as well as Sarojini Market for street shopping. You can always find amazing stuff out there. The Delhiites are very fashionable. They can pick up amazing fashionable stuff from the streets along with also knowing the places from where they can find the current fashion trends, “

Reminiscing his old days in Delhi, Dheeraj mentioned that his all-time favourite place is Murthal where he would go with his friends every weekend. “We used to go there quite late at night and come back only during early mornings. Murthal was never about the distance we travelled, it was always about the food. “

During the conversation with Himansh Kohli about Delhi Times #FlirtWithYourCity campaign, he shares all about his favourite places to eat, things to do as well as places that are a must-visit.

“I have been brought up in Lajpat Nagar, New Delhi and I am fond of the Ram ladoos served with green chutney and something like a salad which are available at Centre Market. I have grown up having it. I also love to be at GK1 M block market, especially Prince Paan shop which was one a one-stop shop for me. I often used to bunk my school and used to gorge on this delicacies.”

Revisiting his childhood memories, Himansh shared that his maternal grandmother used to live in Purani Delhi also known as Chandni Chowk. The food available there would be irreplaceable in the entire city of Delhi. Some of the tastiest food available there would include dahi bhalle, paratha, Natraj chole which would be extremely spicy and also Shri Shyam Kanji Sweets which had innumerable types of sweets.

“Instead of lounges, I prefer chilling at cafes as they are quite relaxing as they aren’t my cup of tea” states Himansh when asked about his favourite places to chill in the city. Khan Market, Defence Colony market (also known as Def Col), GK2, Mehrauli, Vasant has a lot of cafes where one can chill.

When asked about his favourite workout places in the city, he shares that whenever he is dieting and is in Delhi. He tends to visits the park at Lodhi Road early in the morning. He prefers doing yoga, running and walking there. He also makes a point to go to Siri fort in case he wishes to do swimming, lawn tennis or badminton or gym which is very near to the place where he lives.

Whether you are craving Mughlai or Chinese or even street food, you will always find a place to eat in Delhi. There are so many restaurants, which are always buzzing with people.
