Dharamshala, November 22, 2019: Urban Development Minister Sarveen Chaudhary informed that Dharamshala Smart City will have all refurbished and new bus stops and shelters with the provision of intelligent and barrier free system.
Sarveen Chaudhary said this information in a press release.
She said that the government is ready to start and complete all the smart city projects within the time limit. Minister said that inclusive, participatory and citizen-friendly smart facilities would be ensured within the boundaries of the smart city.
The Urban Development Minister informed that 28 new shelter sites are being built in tourist areas under this special project. “The existing 23 bus shelters and 11 rain shelters will also be renovated,” she added.
She said that it is also planned to complete the project at places where there is a shortage of adequate space as 42 bus poles are included in the project. She informed that the work will start as soon as the tendering process is completed and the project cost is Rs.9 crore.
