Dharamshala, November 6, 2013: The stadium in Dharamshala was handed over to HPCA at 5.30 pm on Wednesday by Administration after the High Court’s order.
The HPCA officials hoped that other assets shall soon be handed over to them.
In a press statement issued by the press secretary of HPCA, Mohit Sood said, “HPCA duly welcomes the Honorable High Court of Himachal Pradesh decision restoring "status quo ante" in favor of the association, wherein all the assets of HPCA taken over by the government have been restored to it. The same order has been submitted to the various deputy commissioners in Dharamshala, Hamirpur and Shimla for compliance by our authorised representatives on Wednesday.”
Statement said that it has been a historic order by the court and HPCA is happy that justice has been done. Mohit said, “We had been saying that everything has been done according to the rules and laws of the country and our stand has been vindicated by the interim stay order of the honorable High court.”
HPCA said, “We reaffirm our commitment towards the development of the game in Himachal in the best interest of all the stakeholders and sports lovers. We are committed carry out the schedules of the BCCI and HPCA matches and develop world class facilities to the players of the state and create more infrastructures for them.”
