Development works being done on war footing in Payal constituency: MLA Manwinder Singh Giaspura

Doraha (Ludhiana), February 3, 2023: Payal MLA Manwinder Singh Giaspura on Friday said that development works were being carried out on a war footing in the Payal constituency by the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.

Addressing a press conference in rest house, Doraha, Payal MLA Manwinder Singh Giaspura said that the Aam Aadmi Party government had given new hope to the people of the state and every guarantee made to the people will be fulfilled. He said that for the Payal constituency, the government has been spending crores of rupees for development works. 

He said that for promoting tourism in this historic town, a grant of Rs 6 crores has been released for the renovation of the famous Doraha fort besides three Mohalla clinics opened in Rampur, Rauni, and Siarh villages, restarting of a mortuary in Payal hospital, School of Eminence in Doraha, International Driving Training Institute, new park, and boundary wall around the statue of Sikh revolutionary Baba Maharaj Singh, 1200 new eligible beneficiaries of various pension schemes got registered and many more.

MLA said that scam of Rs 58.85 lakh was unearthed in the Doraha Community Centre case and police stern action will be taken against the persons involved in this. He also announced raising the issue of treatment plants in Vidhan Sabha and will demand a thorough investigation into the construction of these plants which have turned into white elephants. 

He also listed the achievements of the AAP government in this 10-month regime including 600 free units of electricity, one MLA-one pension, 500 AAP clinics, 26454 government jobs given to the youths, a war against corruption, and several other pro-people decisions taken for the state.

Giaspura said that anyone who indulged in any wrongdoing or corruption will face action irrespective of whether he is a party worker or relative.
