Develop better rail-air connectivity and sanction medical college for Shri Fatehgarh Sahib: Dr Amar Singh
Says its historical importance cannot be ignored
Ludhiana: Dr Amar Singh MP Shri Fatehgarh Sahib demanded that in the view of the historical sacrifice of the younger Sahibzadas Shri Fatehgarh Sahib be developed as an international religious tourist destination with better air and rail connectivity.
While speaking in Lok Sabha, he demanded that the constituency be given a medical college and trauma centre and used the opportunity to highlight how even after 315 years over 50 lakh pilgrims take part every year in the Shaheedi Jor Mel in December. He requested that special trains for pilgrims like Sachkhand express etc. which have been diverted recently be restored to their old routes.
He also highlighted the plight of the Mandi Gobindgarh steel industry and asked for a special package to help the stressed units.
