Dev Samaj Mahotsav begins at Dev Samaj Bhawan, Sector 36-B, Chandigarh

Chandigarh, December 4, 2025: The Dev Samaj Mahotsav, commemorating the 175th birth anniversary of the founder of the Dev Samaj, Bhagwan Dev Atma, has started with great enthusiasm at the Dev Samaj Bhawan, Sector 36-B, Chandigarh. The Mahotsav will be held till December 6.
Dev Samaj Secretary Prof. Dr. Agnese Dhillon informed about the Mahotsav, stating that, as always, this year too, students from various educational institutions of the Dev Samaj, teachers, devotees, volunteers, and distinguished guests from across the country have arrived. She further stated that during the Mahotsav , various spiritual discourses will be held to promote the teachings of Bhagwan Dev Atma, these will shed light on the sacrifices he made for the welfare of humanity, and the importance he gave to adoption of human values.
She said , "In addition to the spiritual gatherings, a blood donation camp will also be organized on the special day of the Mahotsav – Bhagwan Dev Atma's birth anniversary, December 5, 2025 – in collaboration with PGIMER. The camp is being held to mark Bhagwan Dev Atma's selfless service to humanity and his commitment to social welfare."
Meanwhile, on the inaugural day of the Mahotsav , followers of the Dev Samaj, as well as teachers and staff from various Dev Samaj educational institutions, remembered with deep reverence and respect the former Secretary of the Dev Samaj, Shriman Nirmal Singh Ji Dhillon, whose discipline and mission-focused leadership provided a strong foundation for the Dev Samaj and its institutions.
The Mahotsav began with a 'Pravesh Sabha', addressed by Shriman Manoj Madan Ji. He welcomed all those who had come to attend the festival from different parts of the country and highlighted the significance of the Mahotsav. He then highlighted the humanitarian and benevolent life of Bhagwan Dev Atma, emphasizing the importance of promoting a scientific temper for personal growth and social progress. He also discussed in detail the Dev Samaj's contributions to social progress and development, and to women's education. Following the 'Pravesh Sabha', students from the Dev Samaj Colleges sang bhajans.
Held annually, this Mahotsav prominently highlights the role of the Dev Samaj's mission in spiritual development through service, moral education, and goodwill. Through dedication, education, and social activities, the mahotsav establishes its role in personal transformation and social upliftment.
