Derewala Jewellery Industries signs three historic MoUs with Karnataka State Tourism

Bangalore, December 18, 2013: India’s largest jewellery makers Derewala Jewellery Industries Limited has signed three Memorandum of  Understandings (MoUs) with Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation (KSTDC), Golden Chariot and Jungle Lodges & Resorts Ltd (JLR) in an effort to promote the infrastructure and tourism of the state. In a major development, the jewellery pioneer from Jaipur signed three different MoUs with the Karnataka State Tourism  as part of their CSR initiative. This was announced at Hotel Lalit Ashok here today.
Addressing a press conference, Pramod Agarwal, Chairman, Derewala Jewellery Industries Ltd, said, “We are extremely delighted to share with you all - the association of Derewala Jewellery Industries Ltd and the State Tourism of Karnataka to showcase this striking state as a prelude to the exposure and interaction that awaits all in India.”
He further added, “We shall be extensively co- branding  various hotel properties of Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation, Kabini river Lodge, Bandhipur Safari lodge,  signages on State highways, and also contribute a portion of sales revenue of our products as our Corporate Social Responsibility for the welfare of development of Tourism infrastructure in Karnataka. Our brands Milaan and Pluvioro will be on display and sale at 6 KSTDC hotels , Golden Chariot – the luxury train and also at 2 Jungle lodges and Resort properties to start with.”
Sanjay Kapur, Corporate Head, Marketing, Sales & CSR, Derewala Jewellery Industries Ltd., said, “Derewala Jewellery has begun its sojourn in Karnataka - A traveling showcase of beauty, glamour, style, culture, grace and fashion that is bound to gain Karnataka recognition, not only as the Gateway to India, but as a major, primary International tourist destination.”
Arvind Jadhav, Addl. Chief Secretary, Karnataka Tourism was also jubilant about the agreement and he said that the initiative was a unique one and association with a major jewellery brand like Derewala was something that they valued. “We are sure that this association will benefit both of us and we will reap benefits for our state that offers rich cultural bonanza for travelers from around the globe,” he said.
Anur Reddy, Managing Director, Jungle Lodges & Resorts Ltd said that they were responsible for development of eco tourism destinations in the state including beaches, tropical forests, rivers and wild life sanctuaries. Dr C D Dyavaiah, Managing Director, KSTDC was also present on this occasion.
