He said that these oxygen concentrators are of immense help for the patients in home isolation by providing life-saving gas to them. He said that these medical devices would help to reduce burden on the oxygen cylinders as the equipment concentrates oxygen from ambient air by capturing and filtering the air.

Ayush Jain from Round Table India said that under Project Saah, the oxygen concentrators would be provided totally free of cost for a period of 7 days after taking a nominal refundable deposit of Rs 50,000. He said that the patient simply needs to call at phone number 78884-95654 (or whatsapp) and submit a Covid report, doctor’s prescription and an Aadhaar card.

He informed that along with the oxygen concentrators, they are also providing BiPAP machines to the hospitals and four machines have already been provided to different hospitals in the district, including two such machines at Guru Teg Bahadur Charitable Hospital, one at USPC Jain Charitable Hospital and one would be provided to a hospital treating poor patients.

He informed that this entire project is done with the help of Punjab Kings XI and Dr Shubha Jain from California (USA).

With Ludhiana witnesses an unabated surge in the Covid cases and demand for oxygen has peaked, the Red Cross Society has also started an oxygen concentrator bank for the patients requiring the support of life-saving gas in home isolation. He said that home isolated Covid patient can take the oxygen concentrator from the District Red Cross Society’s oxygen concentrator bank on mandatory doctor's prescription and guarantee of device's functioning under his supervision.
