Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Jain Addresses Rotary Club Ludhiana Meeting
Deputy Commissioner of Ludhiana, Himanshu Jain, attended the weekly meeting of Rotary Club Ludhiana as the Chief Guest. The meeting began with the National Anthem, followed by a warm welcome to the Chief Guest with a ceremonial plant presentation.
Ludhiana, November 1, 2025: Deputy Commissioner of Ludhiana, Himanshu Jain, attended the weekly meeting of Rotary Club Ludhiana as the Chief Guest. The meeting began with the National Anthem, followed by a warm welcome to the Chief Guest with a ceremonial plant presentation.
Rotarian Senior Vice President Dr. Tejinder Pal Singh introduced Deputy Commissioner Jain, highlighting his administrative achievements and contributions. In his address, Jain thanked Club President Rotarian Dinesh Gogna and Secretary & Past President Rotarian Vijay Anand for the invitation.
He shared his three major priorities for the development of Ludhiana city: Cleaning and rejuvenation of the Buddha Nullah project, Improvement of roads and traffic management, and Commencement of civilian flights from Halwara Airport.
Jain informed that all necessary formalities for starting civilian flights from Halwara Airport have been completed and the report has been submitted to the Civil Aviation Department. He expressed hope that operations would begin soon, significantly boosting Ludhiana’s connectivity and economy.
On the occasion, Rotary Club Ludhiana presented a cheque of ₹2,01,000 to Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Jain for providing aid to flood-affected victims of the Ludhiana district. The cheque was jointly handed over by Club President Rotarian Dinesh Gogna, Senior Vice President Rotarian Dr. Tejinder Pal Singh, and Secretary & Past President Rotarian Vijay Anand. Earlier, on Thursday, the club had also donated a carton of medicines to the DC office as part of the relief effort.
Appreciating the humanitarian gesture, Jain lauded the Rotary Club’s commitment to community service, calling it an exemplary act of social responsibility.
Later, Rotarian President Dinesh Gogna, Past President & Secretary Vijay Anand, and Brigadier Masinder Singh presented a memento to the Deputy Commissioner.
During the meeting, Rotarians celebrating birthdays and wedding anniversaries in the week were felicitated with plant saplings as a token of good wishes.
The meeting concluded on a cordial and enthusiastic note.
