Department of Biophysics Panjab University Organised Placement Sensitisation Session
The Department of Biophysics, Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh, in collaboration with the Central Placement Cell organised a Placement Sensitisation Session aimed at creating awareness among students about career opportunities, professional pathways and the importance of developing industry-oriented skills alongside academic knowledge.

Chandigarh, September 17, 2026: The Department of Biophysics, Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh, in collaboration with the Central Placement Cell organised a Placement Sensitisation Session aimed at creating awareness among students about career opportunities, professional pathways and the importance of developing industry-oriented skills alongside academic knowledge.
The session brought together faculty members, students, and distinguished speaker, Dr Ankit Watts from PGIMER Chandigarh to provide students with practical insights into career planning, higher education, recruitment opportunities, and professional development. The interaction also provided students an opportunity to understand the expectations of employers and the skills required to successfully transition from university to the professional world.
The session was graced by Associate Director, Central Placement Cell, Dr Rohini Sharma along with Chairperson, Department of Biophysics, Dr. Tanzeer Kaur, and Placement Coordinator, Department of Biophysics, Dr. Ravi Pratap Barnwal, also contributed to the session.
The department aimed to strengthen industry–academia interaction and provide students with meaningful exposure to placement opportunities. The session concluded with an interaction between the speaker, faculty members, and students.
