Demolition carried out in three illegal colonies being developed over 17.2 acres in Rohtak

Rohtak, September 10, 2025: The Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta said that the district administration is continuing its campaign to demolish illegal constructions/colonies being developed in controlled and urban areas of Rohtak. In this drive, three illegal colonies spread over about 17.2 acres were targeted, and two foundations, two buildings, an interlock tile road network, and a sewerage pipeline were demolished. This campaign will continue in the future.

The Deputy Commissioner asserted that no illegal construction or colony will be allowed to flourish in the district. The demolition drive was carried out by officers and staff of the District Town Planner’s office, with adequate police force deployed to maintain law and order and handle any untoward incident. DC Sachin Gupta appealed to citizens not to invest their hard-earned money in illegal constructions or colonies.

DTP Sumandeep also appealed to citizens not to invest in illegal constructions or unauthorized colonies developed by dealers/landowners, as such demolitions will continue periodically by the administration. Citizens can verify the legality of land/property by visiting the Sector-1 office of the Town Planner on any working day before investing.
