Ludhiana: Ludhiana (West) Sub Division Grievances Redressal Committee Member Dr Satish Kumar Thaman has Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Additional Deputy Director General (HQ), GoI, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Directorate General of Central Govt, Health Scheme (CGHS-III) Dr GD Paliya requesting for urgent need to start operation of CGHS Dispensary in Ludhiana for central govt employees/ staff by way of constitution of coordination committee of central government department and Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd and for CGHS approved indoor/ outdoor hospitals and reputed hospitals-regarding (designed as wellness centre independently under permanent CGHS – indoor-outdoor hospital at mega city of Ludhiana).

He write that per Memo No DMCH/MS/2021/151 dt 15.7.2021 of Dayanand Medical College & Hospital Tagore Nagar, Civil Lines, Ludhiana, the circular no of dated 15.7.2021, the institution agreed with Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt of India for Treatment of Central Govt Employees and Members of the families under CS (MA) Rule 1944 and the Office Memorandum issued by Deputy Secretary to the Govt of India, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Nirman Bhawan New Delhi under Memo No S.14021/9/2020-EHS dt 7.4.2021 is only an eyewash and formality. 

He added the employees/retirees are not satisfied with this kind of empanelment with the Dayanand Medical College & Hospital Ludhiana which was issued on 15.7.2021.

He pointed out that the issue of orders of CGHS was nothing but only an eyewash as a minor empanelment has been issued by attaching Dayanand Medical College & Hospital Ludhiana and a representation to this effect was made under no SKT/23 dt 23.7.2021 by raising several objections on the circular and office memorandum and the communication was sent to Minister for Communication and Minister of State Communication and requested that fresh orders may be issued to this effect. 

Dr Thaman added that there is a need for opening of independent and separately permanent CGHS Wellness Centre in Mega city of Ludhiana. He said the employees and retirees of all central govt departments / staff and BSNL employees and retirees must be given proper facility through CGHS Dispensary / Indoor & Outdoor Hospital. He has also forwarded the copies of all the relevant documents along with his representation. He pointed out that the case may kindly be discussed on priority, as this is an important case of opening of CGHS Dispensary/ Indoor & Outdoor Hospital in Mega city of Ludhiana.
