Demand for 7th Pay Commission implementation for college and university teachers by Principal's Association 

Jalandhar, September 2, 2021: Principals Association of Non-Government colleges affiliated to Guru Nanak Dev University has equivocally  demanded the implementation of 7th pay commission for the colleges and Universities of Punjab. 

In a meeting of the Association today, President of the Association and Principal Lyallpur Khalsa College Dr Gurpinder Singh Samra appealed to the government to pay attention to the just demands of the teaching community. He also described the state government decision to delink pay scales of the college and university teachers of the state from UGC pay scales as unfortunate. The association demanded revocation of this decision and immediate  implementation of 7th pay commission. The association also supported the PFUCTO rally being held at Chandigarh on 3rd September and called for maximum participation in the same.
