Delegation of UCPMA meets Bhagat Chunni Lal

Ludhiana, January 21, 2014: A delegation of United Cycle & Parts Manufacturer Association (UCPMA), Ludhiana under the leadership of Charanjit Singh Vishivkarma President of UCPMA & Avtar Singh President CICU had a jointly meeting today in circuit house Ludhiana with Minister of Labour Bhagat Chunni Lal, Chief Parliamentary Secretary Chaudhary Nand Lal, Vishivjeet Khanna, Principal Secretary, Labour, Punjab and Harbhupinder Singh Nanda (IAS) to discuss the day to day problems being faced by the industry. Simarjit Singh Bians, M.L.A. was also present in the meeting. The problems brought to the notice of the minister , included the issue of NOC/Consent by Punjab Pollution Control Board, approval of Factory Layout Plan/Exemption from SCA/SAC in Mixed Land Used Area, revision of Labour Wages etc. and Inspection of the unit by Factory Inspector.
These difficulties were listened by the minister with patience and it was decided that the Layout Plan in the Mixed Land Used Area can be approved from a approved Architect and SAC exemption in these areas was also discussed in detail. He was kind enough to redress the difficulties being faced by the industry as given in the memorandum of UCPMA very shortly. In the meeting the decisions taken were as under: Labour Loan upto Rs. 30,000 free of interest, labour register aintained by the unit were decreased from 10 to 2 only and also to construct Labour Quarters by the government and to advance house loan for them.
