Delegation Led by Jiwan Gupta Meets Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu Over Railway Crossing Issues in Ludhiana West
Former BJP General Secretary and in-charge of the Ludhiana West Assembly constituency, Jiwan Gupta, along with a delegation, met Union Minister of State for Railways Ravneet Singh Bittu today to highlight the problems being faced by local residents due to frequent closure of railway crossings in the area.

Ludhiana, September 12, 2025: Former BJP General Secretary and in-charge of the Ludhiana West Assembly constituency, Jiwan Gupta, along with a delegation, met Union Minister of State for Railways Ravneet Singh Bittu today to highlight the problems being faced by local residents due to frequent closure of railway crossings in the area.
The delegation included Mandal President Yogesh Sharma, local residents Harmanpreet Singh, Nirmalpreet Singh, and others. Gupta said in a press release that people living in Guru Amardas Nagar, B.R.S. Nagar, and Sunet localities of Ludhiana West are forced to cross railway lines daily for their livelihood. The closure of these crossings causes immense difficulties for the residents.
Gupta pointed out that the central government had earlier approved construction of underpasses or railway overbridges at busy crossings, but the work in these areas has not yet begun.
He further stated that Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu listened to the grievances attentively and assured the delegation that necessary steps would soon be initiated to resolve the issue and commence work at the affected locations without further delay.
