A delegation of office bearers FICO submits memorandum to Rachpal Singh Engineer in Chief Central Zone Punjab State Power Corporation Ltd on Tuesday.
Ludhiana, January 21, 2014: A delegation of office bearers FICO met Rachpal Singh Engineer in Chief Central Zone Punjab State Power Corporation Ltd regarding the electricity bills with ACD issued on January 14 this year.
In this regard the delegation gave reference of the Circular (No. 40/44 dated January 10, 2014) for deferment of Advance Consumption Deposit (ACD) charged in current power consumption bills on all categories below 100 KW. After consulting with the higher authorities at Patiala, he immediately ordered all Divisions to comply orders of ACD Reversal as per the circular.
Delegation also demanded interest on ACD which is lying deposited with the Department on DS/NRS/SP/MS. The officer confirmed that interest will be given on ACD.
Further, the delegation discussed about extension & new connections of Mixed Land Areas in Janta Nagar Special Division. After consulting with Kuldeep Singh, XEn, Janta Nagar who was also present, Rachpal Singh informed that 65 new connections will be released within the month of February. He also ordered to release new transformer for augmentation of load.
Chief engineer assured the delegation about the quality supply of power by improving Transmission Systems within 2 years by spending Rs.475 crores in Ludhiana city.
Delegation demanded to reduce the length of Govind Feeder which is 9 Kilometer. Chief engineer assured that new cable will be laid & length of feeder will be reduced so that industry may not suffer.
