Degrees, Dreams and Distinction: PCTE Holds 17th Annual Convocation
PCTE Group, Ludhiana, celebrated its 17th Annual Convocation, honoring the achievements of its graduating students.
Ludhiana, December 22, 2025: PCTE Group, Ludhiana, celebrated its 17th Annual Convocation, honoring the achievements of its graduating students.
The ceremony was graced by Prof. (Dr.) Susheel Mittal, Vice Chancellor, IK Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU), Jalandhar, as the Chief Guest. Col. P. R. Pandey (Sena Medal) and Swati Goyal, Co-Chair, Women’s Forum, Ludhiana Management Association (LMA), were present as distinguished guests. Faculty, parents, and students attended in large numbers to witness the occasion.
The event began with a March Past, featuring students from 63 countries carrying their national flags, reflecting PCTE’s multicultural environment. This was followed by the Academic Procession and the traditional Lamp Lighting Ceremony.
Degrees were conferred by Prof. (Dr.) Susheel Mittal , Vice Chancellor, IK Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU), Jalandhar who also addressed the graduates with an inspiring speech encouraging them to pursue excellence and contribute meaningfully to society. Dr. K. N. S. Kang, Director General, PCTE Group, also participated in the degree distribution.
Academic excellence was further celebrated with the distribution of prizes and college colors. The prestigious Wg Cdr. H.S. Gill Memorial Gold Medal, recognizing the outstanding student excelling academically and in co-curricular activities from the Class of 2025, was awarded to Shreya Bansal (B.Tech CSE 2021–25 batch). The award was presented by Dr. G.S. Gill, Director Administration, PCTE. Five students were honored with the College Color Award for exceptional contributions in Literary Arts, Music, Theatre, Sports, Entrepreneurship, and other fields. The Best Alumni Award was presented to Swati Goyal, MBA Class of 2007–2009, in recognition of her remarkable achievements.
Harpreet K. Kang, Dean (International Affairs), PCTE Group, presented the Annual Report, while Dinesh Kumar, Professor of Journalism, proposed the Vote of Thanks, acknowledging the collective efforts behind the success of the Convocation.
The ceremony concluded with the National Anthem, marking the formal departure of the Academic Procession and bringing an inspiring and memorable event to a close.
