`Deewan-e-Qadri’ edited and translated by Dr. Harkanwal Korpal released

`Diwan-e-Qadri’ written by Hazrat Khawaja Muhiuddin Khan Qadri, a renowned Sufi poet of East and West Punjab, was released at a short and impressive book release function here at Maharaj Nagar today.

Ludhiana, April 7, 2022: 'Diwan-e-Qadri' written by Hazrat Khawaja Muhiuddin Khan Qadri, a renowned Sufi poet of East and West Punjab, was released at a short and impressive book release function here at Maharaj Nagar today.  

 

Editing of this book from Urdu to Punjabi and transliteration has been done by immigrant Punjabi writer Dr.  Harkanwal Korpal.  Speaking at the launch of 'Diwan-e-Qadri' published by Aesthetics Publications Ludhiana, eminent poet and Artist Swaranjit Savi said that Dr.  Korpal has given a unique gift to Punjabi readers.  Punjabi mystic poet Paramjit Sohal said that far more than a literary text, it is a work of self-identification for the seekers of truth.  Ashwani Jaitley, Senior Punjabi Journalist, poet and News Editor of News Channel The Summer News, said that 'Diwan-e-Qadri' edited by Dr. Korpal is a work that takes readers to Mansarovar of spiritual bliss which embodies the essence of Sufi philosophy.  Sharing his experience of editing and transliteration on the occasion, Dr. Harkanwal Korpal said that so far 15 editions of this Kalam composed by 19th century Sufi saint Hazrat Khawaja Muhiuddin Khan Qadri have been published in Urdu and I felt it my duty to make it available to Punjabi readers.  It is hoped that the readers will also go through such a feeling while reading this work.  Punjabi novelist Devinder Sekha, Punjabi folk singer Tarsem Deewana, Sufi saint Baba Meshi Shah Chishti Batala Sharif, Geeta Qadri, Gurmeen Sharma, Jai Karan Korpal, Munish Kaushal etc. were also present on the occasion.
