Mumbai (Anil Bedag): The controversy surrounding Deepika Padukone and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s film ‘Spirit’ is back in the spotlight. Now, a source close to the developments has shared fresh information about the reason behind Deepika’s reported exit from the film. According to the source, Deepika was never given a complete narration of the film’s story.
The source claimed, “Deepika Padukone has met Sandeep Reddy Vanga only once in her life. During that meeting, she was told only one line about the film. She was not given the narration of the complete story.” According to the source, Deepika does not commit to any project without hearing the complete story. Therefore, from the beginning, there was no firm commitment from her side regarding ‘Spirit’.
The source also claimed that Deepika is not interested in working with Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Meanwhile, issues such as remuneration, working hours and profit-sharing have also surfaced in connection with the controversy surrounding the film.
Later, Triptii Dimri was cast as the female lead opposite Prabhas in ‘Spirit’. The film is scheduled to release on March 5, 2027.
Deepika Padukone will next be seen with Shah Rukh Khan in ‘King’ and alongside Allu Arjun in Atlee’s ‘Raaka’.
