Declamation and Slogan Writing Competition held in Doaba College

Jalandhar, March 4, 2023: Department of Extra Curricular Activities (ECA), Doaba College, Jalandhar organized a Slogan Writing Competition and Declamation Contest on the theme “Future of Work: Industry 4.0, Innovation & 21st Century Skills” as per the guidelines issued by Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar regarding Y-20 Summit being organized by Department of Youth Affairs, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India. Principal Dr. Pardeen Bhandari graced the occasion as Chief Guest. He was accorded a hearty welcome by Dr. Avinash Chander, Dean, ECA, Dr. Ominder Johal, Staff and students.

The students belonging to different departments of the college viz. Education, Commerce, Computer Science and Information Technology, Journalism and Mass Communication, Tourism and Hotel Management and Basic Sciences enthusiastically participated in both the events.

Principal Dr. Pardeep Bhandari said that Department of Youth Affairs, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India is specially organising these meaningful events throughout the country in different educational institutions so as to prepare the youth for innovations, idea generation and special skill based work in different industries in modern scenario.

In Slogan Writing Competition Ankit Sharma- B.Com Sem IV  bagged first, Pooja- BA B. Ed. Sem IV second and Abdul Rehman- B.Com Sem VI and Anushka Kamal- B.Sc. Medical Sem VI jointly won third position.

In Declamation Contest Nitish Kumar- BCA Sem IV bagged first, Ishita- BSc Sem. II second and Mohit Kumar- B.Com Sem IV got 3rd positions respectively
