Dean Academics Dr Rajoo Singh Chhina given warm farewell

Ludhiana: Dean Academics and Professor of Gastroenterology- Dr Rajoo Singh Chhina was given a warm farewell today after 31 years of distinguished services. An official farewell ceremony was conducted in the presence of Secretary of DMCH Managing Society-Sh Prem Kumar Gupta and other medical administrators including Principal Dr Sandeep Puri, Vice Principal Dr GS Wander, Medical Supdts. Dr Ashwani Chaudhary, Dr Sandeep Sharma and Medical Supdt.(HDHI) Dr Bishav Mohan and Professor Arvind Malhotra (Chairperson, institutional Ethics Committee).
Dr Rajoo Singh Chhina joined DMCH in the year 1990 as ‘Lecturer’ in the Department of Medicine., and was raised to the rank of ‘Professor’ in the year 2003. He became ‘Medical Supdt’ in the year 2002 and took over as Dean Academics in the year 2009.
Secretary Sh Kumar Gupta said that DMCH, as an institution, always promote healthy teamwork for overall development of an institute and acknowledged contribution of Dr Rajoo Singh Chhina in smooth and effective functioning of DMCH.
Principal Dr Sandeep Puri and Vice Principal Dr GS Wander also shared their unforgettable thoughts of working closely with Dr Rajoo Singh Chhina as key members of  Medical Administrative Committee (MAC) team.          
Dr Chhina was also Chairperson of Health Education Cell of DMCH and Hospital Infection Control Committee for many years, who conducted several awareness programmes at regular intervals to make people aware about importance of various health days and inspiring them to lead a healthy and hygienic life.
During his tenure in DMCH, Dr Chhina occupied many coveted posts of International and National societies. Dr Chhina has immense contribution in getting his articles published in more than 120 National/ International Journals.
