Rohtak, February 16, 2026: Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta informed that the Sports Department, Haryana has extended the last date for submitting online applications for allotment of Sports Nurseries for the academic session 2026–27. The revised deadline for submission of applications is now February 22, 2026.
The Deputy Commissioner said that government schools, gram panchayats, and private educational institutions in district Rohtak interested in operating Sports Nurseries can submit their applications online through the official website of the Sports Department at haryanasports.gov.in within the stipulated time.
He further clarified that Sports Nurseries will be sanctioned only for disciplines included in the Olympic, Asian, and Commonwealth Games, with the objective of strengthening grassroots sports infrastructure and identifying young sporting talent at an early stage.
Emphasising the district administration’s commitment to promoting sports culture and excellence, the Deputy Commissioner urged all eligible institutions to complete the application process well within the extended deadline. He added that the initiative will help provide structured training, better facilities, and professional coaching to young sportspersons, thereby creating a strong pipeline of future athletes from the district.
The Deputy Commissioner reiterated that applications received after the due date will not be considered, and institutions must ensure compliance with all prescribed eligibility norms and guidelines issued by the Sports Department.
