Ferozepur, May 22, 2014: The dead body of the ill fated BDS intern Sunil Kumar, who was drowned in the Gang Canal on May 19 evening, has been found at Village Lakhi Wali Mandi, District Muktsar.
Both Sunil and Amardeep Singh were drowned at Gang Canal (Ferozepur Feeder) on May 19. After their death, their protesting parents had agitated against the college administration and had blocked the road for several hours. The protest was finished after the administration gave an assurance to the parents that a magisterial enquiry will be done.
Meanwhile, a team of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) was entrusted the task of finding the dead bodies.
Amardeep Singh, the other BDS intern who was drowned, body was found on Wednesday from a canal near Katianwali Jatta village in Fazilka.
The dead body of Sunil Kumar was handed over to his parents after postmortem.
