Ferozepur, June 14, 2025: In alignment with the CBSE’s directive on Bharatiya Bhasha Summer Camps 2025 and as part of the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat initiative, D.C.M. Sr. Sec. School organized a dynamic and immersive Sanskrit learning session, aimed at fostering appreciation for India’s rich linguistic legacy among students.
The session was led by noted Sanskrit educator Indu Jindal, who guided students through the foundational elements of the language. From mastering the Sanskrit alphabet and numbers to practicing basic greetings and conversational phrases, the session provided a hands-on introduction that sparked curiosity and enthusiasm.
Students actively participated in shloka recitation and engaged in interactive exercises that encouraged spoken Sanskrit usage in everyday contexts. A key highlight of the session was a storytelling segment conducted entirely in Sanskrit, centered around the inspiring life of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, offering students both linguistic and historical enrichment.
Another engaging activity involved students describing their own school—D.C.M. Sr. Sec. School—in Sanskrit, using vocabulary and sentence structures introduced during the session. This practical application deepened their understanding and confidence in using the language meaningfully.
The initiative stands as a testament to DCMC’s dedication to promoting India’s cultural and linguistic diversity. By creating opportunities for students to connect with classical languages, the school continues to nurture globally aware, multilingual learners rooted in Indian ethos.
