DCM Presidency students explore innovative perspectives

Ludhiana, October 14, 2019: CT University recently tied up with DCM Presidency School, Ludhiana to explore about innovation and research. Under the collaboration, DCM students of ‘Atal Tinkering Labs’ were invited to IIC- Institutional Innovation Cell (MHRD’s Innovation Cell, Government of India) under PME Cell (Priority Monitoring & Evaluation Cell) for visiting & exploring the innovation facilities.
During the visit, the students first and foremost learned about Research and Innovation (RICE) and the various projects under it. Thereafter, visiting the 24*7 working Robotics Lab where they showed their keen interest in Drone making, ‘Prosthesis Hand’, moisture sensing Robot, Smart Shoes, Smart T-Shirt, and Smart Scarecrow, etc.
Also, the students had an interactive session by Research team of CTU about the importance of innovation and its future prospects that will be benefiting them.
Sharing about the visit, DCM Student, Abheyveer Singh said, “We got to learn about innovations at a huge level. The best part was that each innovation was truly an example of ‘best out of waste’. Each product in the final product was made by the team. All of us got to learn about a lot and trying each project. It was a fun and learning visit at the same time.”
Interacting with the students, Dr Harsh Sadawarti, Vice Chancellor, CTU said, “The students are the future of any economy. They, when start experimenting, beyond the horizons of basic education, creates wonders. So the only motive to have a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and interacting with students of DCM Group of Schools will gradually bring a change.”
