DCM Presidency shines at Actizen Award Ceremony

Ludhiana: The team, Aqua Saviours comprising of Priyani Lekhi and Ozaswi Khullar of DCM Presidency School were awarded the Second Runners Up trophy in the Actizen contest in Mumbai, an initiative of Desh Apnayen Sahyog Foundation to encourage the students to become social change makers by show casing problem-solving abilities. The students presented a project on “Clean Water, A  Resource for all-Let’s Conserve it !” They proposed make a Water Bank from the leftover water from RO water filters after purification and reuse it in mopping, watering plants and for washing vehicles.
The Jury members were Ms. Ashwani Iyer Tiwari (Filmmaker), Mr. Ashok Bhansali (philanthropist), Mr. Vallabh Bhansali (Founder of Desh Apnayen), Mr. Cyrus Guzder (Environmentalist), Mr. Kiran Khalap( Brand Consultant) and Ms. Mini Menon (Journalist and Author)
The students made it big amongst the hundreds of schools and thousands of students participating from across the country.
Ms.Karina Alag was awarded the Champion Teacher trophy for outstanding contribution in promoting citizenship education.
Principal Ms.Rajni Kalra congratulated the whole team of Aqua Saviors and motivated them to keep doing the good work for the betterment of society.
