DC Sachin Gupta urges Eligible Students to Register on NSP Portal by February 28 to Avail Post-Matric Scholarship
Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta has appealed to students belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Other Backward Classes (OBC) and Denotified Tribes (DNT) to complete their registration on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) by February 28, 2026, to avail benefits under the Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme for the academic session 2025–26.
Rohtak, February 26, 2026: Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta has appealed to students belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Other Backward Classes (OBC) and Denotified Tribes (DNT) to complete their registration on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) by February 28, 2026, to avail benefits under the Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme for the academic session 2025–26.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the scheme aims to ensure that no eligible student is deprived of higher education due to financial constraints. Under this scheme, scholarships are provided to students pursuing post-matric and higher education courses, enabling them to continue their studies without economic hardship.
The Deputy Commissioner informed that applications are being invited online under the Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme (PM YASASVI – Component 2) for the academic year 2025–26. Eligible students from SC, OBC and DNT categories can apply through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).
As per the prescribed norms:
• For PMS-SC, the applicant must belong to the Scheduled Caste category
• For PM YASASVI Component-2, the applicant must belong to the Other Backward Class or Denotified Tribe category
• The applicant must be a resident of Haryana
• The annual family income should not exceed ₹2.50 lakh
All eligible students can submit their fresh applications for the academic year 2025–26 through the NSP portal scholarships.gov.in/ on or before February 28, 2026. For detailed guidelines and updates related to the scheme, students may also visit the department’s official website haryanascbc.gov.in.
The Deputy Commissioner urged all eligible students to apply well before the deadline and ensure that required documents are uploaded correctly to avoid rejection or delay in scholarship disbursement.
