DC Sachin Gupta pays floral tributes to martyrs on Haryana Veer and Shaheedi Diwas
On the occasion of Haryana Veer and Shaheedi Diwas, Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta paid floral tributes to martyrs at the War Memorial near MDU. A ceremonial guard of honour and salute was presented by the police contingent in memory of the martyrs.

Rohtak, September 23, 2025: On the occasion of Haryana Veer and Shaheedi Diwas, Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta paid floral tributes to martyrs at the War Memorial near MDU. A ceremonial guard of honour and salute was presented by the police contingent in memory of the martyrs.
DC Sachin Gupta said martyrs remain a guiding light for the nation, having laid down their lives for India’s unity and integrity. He urged the youth to draw inspiration from their supreme sacrifice and actively contribute to nation-building through constructive engagement. “We are eternally indebted to our brave soldiers. Their sacrifice enables us to live safely, and it is our duty to honour their families and support the armed forces,” he said.
He further added that the heroic stories of martyrs will forever remind citizens of India’s rich heritage and inspire future generations. “We can never forget those who paid the ultimate price for our motherland. The best tribute is to follow their path of courage and selfless service,” he said.
The DC also announced that the district administration will soon issue a special helpline number at the Mini-Secretariat to address concerns of martyrs’ families and extend timely assistance. On the occasion, tree plantation was also carried out at the memorial premises.
The event was attended by Sainik and Ardh-Sainik Welfare Officer Wing Commander Gaurika Suhag, Brigadier J.S. Budhwar (Army Medal), CPO Attar Singh Kadian, Sub Lt. Shamsher Singh, Sub Lt. Ranjit Khokhar, and several ex-servicemen and dignitaries.
