DC Sachin Gupta issues advisory in view of rains and water logging
Deputy Commissioner and Chairman of District Disaster Management Authority Rohtak, Sachin Gupta, has directed all higher educational institutions to remain alert and adopt precautionary measures for the safety of students, staff, and infrastructure in view of the heavy rains during the past few days and the possibility of water logging in certain areas.

Rohtak, September 4, 2025: Deputy Commissioner and Chairman of District Disaster Management Authority Rohtak, Sachin Gupta, has directed all higher educational institutions to remain alert and adopt precautionary measures for the safety of students, staff, and infrastructure in view of the heavy rains during the past few days and the possibility of water logging in certain areas.
Institutions have been requested to keep close watch on the rainfall and water logging situation inside and around their premises and to take timely preventive steps to avoid any kind of obstruction. In case normal functioning is affected, safety risks arise, or there are severe difficulties in transportation due to water logging or related problems, immediate information must be given to the Deputy Commissioner’s office or the District Control Room. If closure of institutions becomes necessary due to local circumstances, the same must be reported promptly to the Deputy Commissioner’s office so that an appropriate decision and approval may be issued as per guidelines. No classes or gatherings should be organized in unsafe, waterlogged, or structurally weak areas.
The advisory issued by the Deputy Commissioner further stated that where possible, efforts should be made to continue academic activities through online mode or other suitable alternatives so that academic loss can be avoided. All precautionary measures must be ensured in advance and full cooperation must be extended to the district administration to maintain safety, preparedness, and uninterrupted education.
