Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta instructed jail authorities to conduct a survey of prisoners to identify their skill development needs, so that training programs can be started accordingly. After release, such individuals will be able to adopt self-employment and live independently, reducing the chances of re-offending.

Rohtak, August 25, 2025: Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta instructed jail authorities to conduct a survey of prisoners to identify their skill development needs, so that training programs can be started accordingly. After release, such individuals will be able to adopt self-employment and live independently, reducing the chances of re-offending.
DC Sachin Gupta presided over a departmental review meeting with officers from CRID, Animal Husbandry & Dairy, Jail, Sainik & Paramilitary Welfare, Excise & Taxation, and Forest Department. He reviewed welfare activities being undertaken for prisoners and directed that regular health check-up camps be organized in jails. He also asked for a survey of prisoners’ educational qualifications so that they may be provided training in computers, bakery, wooden, accounting, etc.
Reviewing the Renewable Energy Department, he directed that solar panels be installed on all government buildings in the district to reduce dependency on electricity and fully utilize solar energy. A proposal to install a 350 KW solar panel at the Mini Secretariat is under consideration. He also directed that citizens be made aware of the PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme, which is a flagship initiative of the government.
He instructed the Animal Husbandry Department to make farmers aware of the Livestock Insurance Scheme, which is highly beneficial for them. He reviewed the status of registered Gaushalas (cow shelters) and directed that registration of one pending Gaushala be completed. He also sought updates on animal vaccination and veterinary hospitals.
He held discussions with ADC Narendra Kumar on Family ID-related issues and gave necessary directions. Reviewing the Social Welfare Department, he instructed that health check-up camps be organized at block and tehsil levels in coordination with the Health Department to issue disability certificates to eligible persons.
The meeting was attended by ADC Narendra Kumar, Jail Superintendent Satyawan, Deputy Jail Superintendent Charan Singh, District Social Welfare Officer Mahabir Godara, District Sainik & Para-Military Welfare Officer Gorika Suhag, and other officials.
