DC Sachin Gupta instructs concerned departments to Provide Certificates for Pothole-Free Roads
Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta directed the officers of road construction departments to issue certificates confirming that all city roads are pothole-free. The Municipal Corporation has already issued a tender for the repair of all street lights, and keeping in view the Diwali festival, work on installing lights in all major markets and main chowks of the city will commence from October 14.

Rohtak, October 13, 2025: Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta directed the officers of road construction departments to issue certificates confirming that all city roads are pothole-free. The Municipal Corporation has already issued a tender for the repair of all street lights, and keeping in view the Diwali festival, work on installing lights in all major markets and main chowks of the city will commence from October 14.
DC Sachin Gupta was reviewing the city beautification works at his local camp office. He, along with Municipal Commissioner Dr. Anand Sharma, reviewed the works being carried out by the Municipal Corporation. He instructed that in view of the festive season, lights should be installed in the main markets and chowks. He also reviewed the repair work of street lights along city roads.
The Deputy Commissioner said that possibilities should be explored to replace iron grills along PWD roads with plantation, so that along with “Green Rohtak,” city beautification is also promoted.
Reviewing the condition of city roads with PWD officials, the Deputy Commissioner directed them to provide certificates of pothole-free roads. Except for two roads, the repair work on all other PWD roads is in progress. He also reviewed the repair and maintenance of roads under the HSVP and instructed them to submit pothole-free certificates as well. HSVP has made all roads in Sectors 4, 5, and 6 pothole-free. The road next to the Gymkhana Club in Sector 4 Extension remains pending due to sewer line work. The officer added that the damaged road in Sector 27 has also been repaired.
DC Sachin Gupta reviewed drinking water supply and sewerage arrangements with the Superintending Engineer and Executive Engineers of the Public Health Department. The department has prepared a project to ensure adequate water supply in Old Rohtak city, Salara Mohalla and other colonies. He directed that the sewer line in front of Baba Mastnath and at the Hafed Chowk be repaired and that manhole covers be installed. The officers also discussed proposed projects to ensure residents receive sufficient and pure drinking water.
The Deputy Commissioner also reviewed the progress of the “Mhara Gaon – Jagmag Gaon” scheme with officers of UHBVN. He instructed them to provide the list of villages already declared “Jagmag” and to complete the process of declaring Bhainsru Kalan village as a “Jagmag Village,” as announced during the night stay program on September 26.
Municipal Commissioner Dr. Anand Sharma stated that the tender for street light repair has been issued and work will begin soon. The corporation is also repairing its roads, which will soon be pothole-free. In view of the festive season, the corporation will install special lighting in major markets and chowks to enhance city beautification.
Present on the occasion were Superintending Engineer (Public Health) Shivraj, XEns Sanjeev and Sandeep Kumar, Executive Engineer (PWD) Arun Kumar, Executive Engineer (UHBVN) Ramendra Malik, and officers from the HSVP.
