DC Sachin Gupta inspects the preparations for District-level Sports Activities

Rohtak, August 28, 2025: Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta inspected the preparations for the district-level sports activities being organized from 29th to 31st August at the local Rajiv Gandhi Sports Complex on the occasion of Major Dhyan Chand’s birth anniversary. He gave necessary directions to the officials of concerned departments present on the spot. He said that to ensure the successful conduct of the district-level sports activities, all department heads must sincerely fulfill the responsibilities assigned to them. The activities will begin on Friday, 29th August, from the Hockey Ground of the Sports Complex.

The Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta, along with Additional Deputy Commissioner Narendra Kumar and other concerned officials, inspected the venues for the events at the Rajiv Gandhi Sports Complex. He said that ADC Narendra Kumar has been appointed as the nodal officer for the smooth conduct of the district-level sports activities. The District Sports Officer will coordinate with the nodal officer to ensure all preparations are completed. He said that from 29th to 31st August, sports competitions for boys and girls will be organized daily at 3:30 PM in the sports complex for games such as hockey, judo, boxing, kabaddi, cycling, handball, and volleyball.

DC Sachin Gupta instructed the concerned officials to make arrangements for the safety of all participants, along with parking, traffic management, and maintaining law and order. He also directed to ensure cleanliness of the Sports Complex and provide a sufficient number of temporary mobile toilets. These sports activities will also be broadcast live.

The Deputy Commissioner also directed to make adequate arrangements for drinking water, distribution of refreshments to all participants, deployment of an ambulance equipped with life-saving equipment, along with a team of doctors and paramedical staff as well physiotherapists at the venue during the events.

On this occasion, ADC Narendra Kumar, Civil Surgeon Dr. Ramesh Chandra, X.En UHBVN Ramendra Malik, Deputy Director of Sports Department Surjit Narwal, DIPRO Sanjiv Saini, DEO Manjeet Malik, DSO Anoop, along with other concerned officials, were present.
