DC Sachin Gupta Inspects One Stop Centre; Emphasizes Quality Support Services for Women
Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta conducted a surprise inspection of the One Stop Centre located at Gandhi Camp, Rohtak, to review the facilities and support services being provided to women in distress.
Rohtak, April 11, 2026: Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta conducted a surprise inspection of the One Stop Centre located at Gandhi Camp, Rohtak, to review the facilities and support services being provided to women in distress.
During the inspection, the Deputy Commissioner took a detailed review of the assistance mechanisms, safety arrangements, and overall functioning of the centre, which caters to women affected by violence and provides integrated support under one roof.
He was informed that 367 cases were registered at the centre during the previous year, and 44 women were provided shelter support, reflecting the centre’s critical role in providing immediate relief and rehabilitation.
The Deputy Commissioner directed that all women approaching the centre must be provided prompt and compassionate assistance. He emphasized that the One Stop Centre serves as a crucial platform offering medical aid, legal assistance, psychological counselling, and temporary shelter, and therefore, the quality and responsiveness of services must be maintained at the highest standards.
Reiterating the administration’s commitment, he said that ensuring safety, dignity, and empowerment of women remains a top priority, and the One Stop Centre plays a pivotal role in achieving this objective.
The Deputy Commissioner also inspected cleanliness, security arrangements, record maintenance, and helpline services, and issued directions for further strengthening these aspects wherever required. He stressed that any lapse in providing timely support to women will not be tolerated.
He further directed officials to undertake wider awareness and outreach efforts so that more women in need can access the services provided by the centre.
Officials present during the inspection briefed the Deputy Commissioner about the functioning and facilities of the centre. One Stop Centre Incharge Karaminder Kaur, Legal Counsellor Praveen Kumar, Office Assistants Seema, Poonam, Ajay, and other staff members were present on the occasion.
