Rohtak, January 15, 2026: Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta honored 11 ex-servicemen with gallantry medals during the 10th Armed Forces Veterans Day function held on January 14 at the State-Level War Memorial located in the MDU campus. The program was organized by the Department of Soldiers and Paramilitary Welfare.
The gallantry medals were conferred upon Anu Dahiya, wife of late Major Rajiv Dahiya (Shaurya Chakra and Sena Medal); Dhan Kaur, wife of late Major K.S. Budhwar (Sena Medal); Santosh, wife of late Naik Randhir Singh (Sena Medal); Brigadier Harbeer Singh (Sena Medal); Flying Officer Mahavir Singh, son of Colonel Parveen Kumar (Vir Chakra, Mention in Dispatches); Brigadier J.S. Budhwar (Sena Medal); Havildar Dharamveer (Sena Medal); Honorary Captain Ramesh Kumar (Sena Medal); Havildar Dilbagh Singh (Sena Medal); Havildar Om Prakash (Sena Medal); and Naik Jagbir Singh (Sena Medal). District Soldier and Paramilitary Welfare Officer Wing Commander Gaurika Suhag was present on this occasion.
