DC Sachin Gupta honored by Bhaini Surjan Gram Panchayat for ensuring drainage and fulfilling the assurance of wheat sowing in every field
The Gram Panchayat of Bhaini Surjan village in Meham block visited the Deputy Commissioner’s office and felicitated DC Sachin Gupta, for fulfilling his assurance of timely drainage from the entire agricultural land of the village, thereby enabling wheat sowing in every field. On this occasion, the Gram Panchayat also honoured DDPO Rajpal Chahal. Those present for the felicitation included village Sarpanch Amit Kumar, Panch Dharambir, and other Panchayat members.

Rohtak, December 29, 2025: The Gram Panchayat of Bhaini Surjan village in Meham block visited the Deputy Commissioner’s office and felicitated DC Sachin Gupta, for fulfilling his assurance of timely drainage from the entire agricultural land of the village, thereby enabling wheat sowing in every field. On this occasion, the Gram Panchayat also honoured DDPO Rajpal Chahal. Those present for the felicitation included village Sarpanch Amit Kumar, Panch Dharambir, and other Panchayat members.
During the monsoon season, DC Sachin Gupta personally visited several water logging-affected villages in the district multiple times along with teams of officers to review drainage works. He also visited Bhaini Surjan village and assured Panchayat members and villagers that the district administration would complete drainage from residential areas and agricultural land at the earliest, ensuring wheat sowing in every field. Bhaini Surjan was among the villages that experienced the most severe waterlogging during the last monsoon. Due to effective drainage management by the district administration, farmers were able to sow wheat in every field of the village.
The Deputy Commissioner repeatedly inspected drainage works on-site with officials and issued necessary directions for immediate arrangements. He continuously reviewed progress with concerned departments, resulting in the timely completion of drainage works and enabling farmers to carry out wheat sowing. DDPO Rajpal Chahal also closely monitored the drainage operations with officials and, through coordination with villagers and concerned departments, ensured successful completion of the works.
