Rohtak, October 12, 2025: Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta directed health department officials to prepare a comprehensive plan for conducting health check-ups of every citizen in the district so that diseases can be detected and treated at an early stage.

During a meeting of the District Permanent Committee of PC & PNDT held to improve the sex ratio, it was decided that continuous monitoring of all registered ultrasound centers will be ensured. In villages with low sex ratios, ASHA workers, Anganwadi workers, and Gram Secretaries will work together. It was also instructed that registration of RCH ID must be completed before conducting ultrasound tests of all pregnant women as per government guidelines.

DC Sachin Gupta was reviewing the implementation of various programs and schemes with officials from the Health Department, Women and Child Development Department, and Education Department in the video conference hall of the Mini Secretariat. He instructed health officials to prepare a plan to ensure health check-ups of every citizen in every village and ward of the district to promote better health outcomes.

The Deputy Commissioner emphasized that pregnant women suffering from anemia (having hemoglobin below 7 grams) require special attention regarding diet, medical check-ups, and treatment. He directed that such women must be re-examined after 14 days to ensure improvement in hemoglobin levels. If no improvement is found, the cause must be identified and treatment provided. Continuous monitoring and record-keeping of these cases must be ensured.

The Women and Child Development Department was instructed to create awareness among pregnant women about anemia prevention and educate them about calcium and iron-folic acid intake.

DC Sachin Gupta also instructed that health centers should collect samples and conduct all necessary tests, ensuring that reports are delivered to the concerned citizens. This will help in early detection and timely treatment of diseases. He directed that citizens living in slum and high-risk areas should be provided with quality health facilities. He also emphasized the importance of mental health and informed that citizens suffering from stress or mental illness can receive free counseling by calling the Health Department’s toll-free number 8295474838.

The Deputy Commissioner said that to improve the district’s sex ratio, it must be ensured that ultrasound centers are regularly monitored and that banned medicines are not sold in medical stores. Medical store owners must provide bills for every sale. Under the Haryana Nirogi Yojana, health check-ups of family members with an annual income of up to ₹1.8 lakh are being conducted to assess their health status.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Superintendent of Police Ravi Khundia, Civil Surgeon Dr. Ramesh Chandra Arya, District Attorney Surender Pahwa, District PC & PNDT Nodal Officer Dr. Vishwajeet Rathi, District Ayurvedic Officer Dr. Satpal, DEO Manjeet Malik, DEEO Diljit Singh, DPC Bijender Hooda, and District Programme Officer (Women and Child Development) Deepika Saini, among others.
