Rohtak, November 5, 2025: Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta has directed the principals of colleges and ITIs to establish Job-Oriented Clubs in their institutions.

While reviewing the work of the Higher Education and ITI departments at his camp office, DC Sachin Gupta said that educational institutions should not remain confined to merely awarding degrees but should also guide students toward employment so that after graduation, they do not have to struggle to find job opportunities. He instructed that when students enter college, they should be introduced to various career options early on, according to their interests. He emphasized that it is the responsibility of institutions to not only provide academic degrees but also to make students empowered and job-ready.

Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta said that students will be members of these clubs, and a faculty member will act as the in-charge. The club will have specific objectives such as imparting skills to students, connecting them with industry professionals, and creating employment opportunities. He said that students should be encouraged to actively participate in club activities to foster a sense of community and belonging. He further added that students should be prepared in such a way that immediately after completing their degrees, they can be easily absorbed into various industries.

DC Sachin Gupta also mentioned that a joint meeting of principals of higher educational institutions and ITIs with industrialists will soon be organized. The objective of this meeting will be to understand the human resource needs of industries so that students can be trained accordingly. He said that the goal is to ensure that students produced by educational institutions become the need of industries. Additionally, he stated that students studying administrative subjects will also be given opportunities for internships in various administrative departments.

During the meeting, principals of colleges and ITIs shared their suggestions on ways to empower students. Principals from various colleges and ITIs of the district participated in the meeting.
