Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta directed officers to complete all preparations on time for the successful organization of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini’s proposed programmes in Rohtak on September 17. The Chief Minister is scheduled to participate as the chief guest in various programmes including Swachhta, plantation, Haryana Drug-Free Campaign marathon, exhibition, and the state-level function of Vishwakarma Jayanti.

Rohtak, September 11, 2025: Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta directed officers to complete all preparations on time for the successful organization of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini’s proposed programmes in Rohtak on September 17. The Chief Minister is scheduled to participate as the chief guest in various programmes including Swachhta, plantation, Haryana Drug-Free Campaign marathon, exhibition, and the state-level function of Vishwakarma Jayanti.
DC Sachin Gupta was reviewing the preparations of the Chief Minister’s proposed programmes in the conference hall of the local Mini Secretariat with Municipal Commissioner Dr. Anand Sharma, senior administrative officers, and heads of departments. ASP Prateek Agrawal, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Sampla Utsav Anand, Municipal Corporation Special Officer (Sanitation) Pradeep Kaushik, Joint Commissioner Manjeet Kumar, Rohtak SDM Ashish Kumar, City Magistrate Ankit Kumar, General Manager Transport Vipin Kumar, OSD to Divisional Commissioner Shubham, along with senior officers of concerned departments were present on the occasion.
Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta informed that on September 17, the Chief Minister is proposed to participate in various programmes in Rohtak. He will inaugurate the Seva Hi Swachhta fortnight campaign in the city, after which he will take part in a plantation drive at Mansarovar Park and flag off the marathon on the Haryana Drug-Free Campaign. SDM Sampla Utsav Anand has been appointed as the nodal officer for the marathon.
DC Sachin Gupta instructed representatives of educational institutions and concerned departments to ensure maximum public participation as well as the involvement of students in the marathon. He also urged representatives of Resident Welfare Associations to motivate more citizens to join the marathon. The marathon will start from Subhash Chowk and conclude at MDU, Rohtak. He directed PWD officials to prioritize repairing the road along the marathon route.
The Deputy Commissioner further instructed all heads of departments to declare their offices as Zero Waste and send certificates of compliance to the Municipal Corporation. Under the Zero Waste initiative, offices must dispose of old records and condemned items, ensure lifting of waste paper and garbage, and maintain cleanliness. He also directed that cleanliness competitions should be organized in schools. He asked officials of UHBVN to ensure uninterrupted power supply at the programme venues, while the Public Health Department must arrange drinking water and VIP toilets.
The meeting was also attended by SE Shivraj (Public Health Department), SE Bijender Narwal (UHBVN), Civil Surgeon Dr. Ramesh Chandra Arya, DRO Pramod Chahal, along with senior officers of concerned departments, representatives of educational institutions, and representatives of Resident Welfare Associations.
