Rohtak, March 13, 2026: Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta has directed officials of all concerned departments to upload data related to water conservation activities on the Jal Sanchay Portal at the earliest under the ongoing Jal Shakti Abhiyan – Jal Sanchay Jan Bhagidari campaign.

Chairing a review meeting at the Mini Secretariat regarding the implementation of the campaign, the Deputy Commissioner said that the Jal Sanchay–Jan Bhagidari programme is an important initiative aimed at promoting water conservation through community participation.

He instructed departments to ensure that all activities undertaken under the campaign are properly documented and uploaded on the portal as per government guidelines.

DC Sachin Gupta said that under the Jal Shakti Abhiyan, the Government of India has launched the Jal Sanchay–Jan Bhagidari programme to transform water conservation into a mass movement, and all departments must work with seriousness to achieve the district’s targets in this regard.

He emphasized that the campaign focuses on rainwater harvesting, groundwater recharge and increasing water storage capacity to ensure long-term water security.

The Deputy Commissioner informed that the Government has given priority to water conservation through this initiative and the campaign carries the message that “water conservation is possible only through collective participation of citizens.”

Officials were directed to ensure that the activities uploaded on the portal correspond to structures constructed or completed between June 1, 2025 and May 31, 2026, and that all photographs uploaded on the portal must be geo-tagged.

The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Narendra Kumar, City Magistrate Ankit Kumar, DRO Pramod Chahal, DDPO Rajpal Chahal, Chief Minister Good Governance Associate Tanumay Dutta, Executive Engineer Irrigation Rajeev Rathi, Hydrologist Dalbir Rana and officials of the Public Health Engineering Department.
