Rohtak, August 26, 2025: Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta directed engineering department officials to make the roads under their jurisdiction pothole-free and suitable for vehicles. He said that if loss of life or property occurs in a road accident due to negligence of any department, an FIR will be registered against the concerned department. Officers must start working on the agenda points before the meeting and ensure timely submission of their action taken reports.

DC Sachin Gupta was reviewing the agenda points of the monthly meeting on Road Safety and Surakshit School Vahan Policy in the presence of Additional Deputy Commissioner Narendra Kumar, SDM Sampla Utsav Anand, ASP Prateek Aggarwal, Rohtak SDM Ashish Kumar, RTA Secretary Virender Singh Dhull, City Magistrate Ankit Kumar, GM Transport Vipin Kumar and other officials of concerned departments. He directed officers to prepare short-term and long-term projects to strengthen the road network in the district.

The DC issued strict instructions to NHAI officials to ensure that potholes on the road at Sir Chhotu Ram Chowk in Sampla are filled by the evening of August 27. Signboards must also be installed within 15 days. Potholes on the service lane along the under-construction flyover at Kharawar must be filled immediately. He also directed NHAI to ensure that all toll lanes remain open and that residents of nearby villages are provided toll fee concessions as per norms, with the list of eligible villages displayed publicly.

Gupta instructed PWD officials to repair the damaged road near the rest house in Sampla in coordination with the concerned Executive Engineer from Jhajjar. He directed Municipal Corporation and PWD officials to resolve the waterlogging problem on Delhi Bypass. HSIIDC officials were asked to repair damaged roads in Old IMT immediately and ensure complete restoration after the rainy season.

He further directed that the damaged road near the old bus stand under the Elevated Road be repaired, and potholes on Bhiwani Road be filled by PWD. Police were instructed to challan vehicles parked illegally on the National Highway, as such parking poses accident risks. He also said that the construction of the outer Jind Bypass from Makdoli Toll should be completed at the earliest. On this occasion, UHBVN Superintendent Engineer Bijender Narwal, concerned Executive Engineers, and other departmental heads were present.
