Rohtak, July 6, 2026: Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta has called for active cooperation from all political parties to ensure that the electoral roll—currently being prepared under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) campaign—is transparent, accurate, and free of errors.
Addressing a meeting of political party representatives, Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta stated that, in accordance with the Election Commission of India's (ECI) directives, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) are conducting door-to-door voter verification as part of the Special Intensive Revision campaign. The objective is to ensure that every eligible voter is included in the list and that ineligible names are removed in compliance with the rules.
He explained that voters found to be absent from their registered addresses, relocated, deceased, or listed as duplicates during verification are categorized under the ASDD (Absent, Shifted, Dead, or Duplicate) category. Further action in such cases is taken according to the rules prescribed by the Election Commission.
DC Sachin Gupta noted that the ASDD list prepared by the BLOs has been shared with the Booth Level Agents (BLA-1 and BLA-2) appointed by the political parties. He urged all political parties to have their agents thoroughly examine the list based on their respective areas and booths and to submit their objections and suggestions within the stipulated timeframe, thereby making the electoral roll more transparent, reliable, and error-free. He informed the gathering that BLA-1s have been appointed at the Assembly constituency level and BLA-2s at the booth level to ensure the verification process is conducted more effectively.
The Deputy Commissioner also appealed to all voters to mandatorily submit the necessary forms to their respective BLOs by July 14 so that the digitization of the electoral roll can be completed within the set deadline. He clarified that forms received after the prescribed date would not be accepted. Rohtak MLA Bharat Bhushan Batra, Additional Deputy Commissioner Narendra Kumar, Rohtak SDM Ashish Kumar, and Election Tehsildar Sarla Kaushik, along with Booth Level Agents (BLA-1) from various political parties, were present on the occasion.
In accordance with the directives of the Election Commission of India, the tentative ASDD (Absent, Shifted, Dead, and Duplicate) list prepared for the four assembly constituencies—as part of the Special Intensive Revision of Electoral Rolls-2026—was made available to the Booth Level Agents (BLA-2) of recognized political parties. Sampla SDM Ankita Puwar stated that, following the Election Commission of India's guidelines, the tentative list for the four assembly constituencies—prepared under the Special Intensive Revision of Electoral Rolls-2026—was provided to the Booth Level Agents of recognized political parties during a meeting held today at the Tagore Auditorium of MDU. Information regarding the necessary upcoming election-related procedures was also shared with them.
Election Tehsildar Sarla Kaushik urged the Booth Level Agents to verify the names of voters included in the list so that only the names of ineligible individuals would be removed from the electoral rolls. She called upon the Booth Level Agents to extend their full cooperation to ensure the completion of the Special Intensive Revision of Electoral Rolls-2026 process within the stipulated time frame.
