DC reviews arrangements for LIT’s draw of lots on June 16
Directs to hold allot 336 HIG and 240 MIG flats in Ludhiana in a free, fair and transparent manner
Ludhiana, June 13, 2022: With Deputy Commissioner Surabhi Malik on Monday reviewing final arrangements, Ludhiana Improvement Trust is all set for conducting the draw of lots for as many as 336 High Income Group (HIG) and 240 Middle Income Group (MIG) flats in a free, fair and transparent manner under the Atal Apartment Scheme scheduled to be held on June 16, 2022 at Nehru Sidhant Kendra, Pakhowal Road, here.
Divulging the details, the DC said that the draw of lots would be held at 10 am onwards in the presence of applicants and the final list of eligible applicants has been uploaded on the trust's official website i.e. www.ludhianaimprovementtrust.org and notice board, which can be viewed by the general public. Likewise, live webcasting of the event would also be held and general public can watch this event online at https://youtu.be/lzoRZzHNkxY.
She mentioned that the live streaming would be held in view of the heatwave and Covid-19 situations so that maximum numbers of people could witness the event.
The deputy commissioner also asked the officials tasked to hold the draw to leave no stone unturned to ensure the smooth conduct of this event. She said that any kind of laxity in this task would be highly unwarranted as foolproof arrangements have been put in place to carry out this task.
Pointing out further, LAC Neeru Katyal said that this housing project would come up on the land measuring 8.8 acres and equipped with all kinds of modern facilities including the community centre, swimming pool, gymnasium, small commercial centre, and parking lot among others. She said that the top priority was being accorded by the LIT to this project so that it can be initiated within the stipulated time frame. Notably, the semi-furnished flats will be constructed by Ludhiana Improvement Trust under 100 percent self-financing basis.
