DC releases poster of First Pro run at PAU on Feb 15

Ludhiana, February 11, 2026: Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Jain on Wednesday released the official poster for the First Pro Run, scheduled for February 15 at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU). The event will serve as the curtain-raiser to the Shaheed-E-Azam Bhagat Singh National Marathon, which is set to take place on 22 March in Mahilpur.
The 5-km Pro Run will begin at 6:30 am from the PAU campus. Both the Pro Run and the main marathon are being organized as a major tribute to the supreme sacrifice of Shaheed-E-Azam Bhagat Singh and as a strong collective effort to build a drug-free Punjab.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner stated the Shaheed-E-Azam Bhagat Singh National Marathon is much more than a sporting event. It is a powerful movement that combines patriotism, physical fitness, and a determined fight against drug abuse. He emphasized that through sports and wide community participation, the initiative seeks to honour the ideals and sacrifices of India’s freedom fighters while boldly confronting one of the most serious challenges facing Punjab today.
Jain made an earnest appeal to citizens across all age groups — students, families, youth, employees, and senior citizens — to come forward in large numbers. He urged everyone to join the First Pro Run on 15 February at PAU and the Shaheed-E-Azam Bhagat Singh National Marathon on 22 March in Mahilpur, thereby strengthening the mass movement for a drug-free Punjab.
